A life devoted to caring for others.
Todd Whitehead brings more than three decades of healthcare and service experience to the Do Hard Things equestrian program. A U.S. Navy veteran and registered nurse, he has built a career around patient care, teamwork, mentoring, and helping clinical teams work safely and well.
Experience that makes a difference.
At Park City Hospital, Todd helps guide the operating-room team and support safe, compassionate surgical care. His roles have included Shared Leader, Charge Nurse and Team Lead, and Robot Coordinator. He has helped introduce robotic surgery, train staff on new technology, coach colleagues, and strengthen communication and safety practices.
Earlier in his career, Todd served as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman and worked in pain care, anesthesia technology, and operating-room nursing. Across those roles, his focus has remained on preparation, patient safety, and supporting the people around him.
A devoted dad and steady presence.
Outside the hospital, Todd is a proud and devoted dad to a teenage daughter. The care, patience, and consistency he brings to family life are part of what makes him such a thoughtful leader and a valued person in the Do Hard Things community.
Leading our Pony Club.
Todd is the leader of our Pony Club. He has brought together a special group of horses and passionate people who believe in helping people through the connection, care, and steady work that horses make possible. Together, they create opportunities for participants to practice patience, responsibility, confidence, and the courage to do hard things.
As the Do Hard Things Foundation grows, Todd will have an even bigger chapter with us. He is helping build the equestrian work happening now and shape what this program can become in the future.
Our current equestrian program takes place at a Kamas ranch in partnership with Somatic Equine Therapy Initiative. The future campus equestrian center remains a long-term vision.
